Welcome to the Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce
Matagorda remains one of Texas's best-kept coastal secrets. This small fishing and visitor community sits on the upper Texas coast, known for wildlife, soft sand beaches, strong fishing and hunting, birding, and genuine South Texas hospitality. You will find a wilder, more natural setting here, with smaller crowds than many Gulf Coast destinations.
The Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce is an all-volunteer organization representing Matagorda, Selkirk, Wadsworth, and the surrounding area. Our members are local businesses and community leaders who welcome visitors and support the towns we serve. When you visit, please choose Chamber member businesses listed in our online directory.
